£2,450.00

A COLLECTION OF 15 DIFFERENT EXHIBITION POSTERS FOR SPOERRI'S EAT ART GALLERY INCLUDING PRINTED MAILING ENVELOPE

We offer a group of very scarce promotional posters produced and mailed out by Spoerri's famous Eat Art Gallery in Dusseldorf for the period 1970 - 1972. Many well known artists exhibited alongside Spoerri and here we offer a substantial number of the posters (often designed by Spoerri) along with a mailing envelope. The Gallery specialised in artworks with a theme of food and Spoerri opened the gallery upstairs from his restaurant (in 1970, two years after the eatery had itself opened) where Spoerri often cooked special meals for his artists and friends - sometimes the meals as art events themselves. All items from the Gallery are scarce and this collection is a significant find.
