DIBBET'S FIRST PERSPECTIVE CORRECTION

(Long, Dibbets, Flanagan)
19:45 - 21:55 SEPTEMBER 9TH 1967 FRANKFURT GERMANY
Frankfurt: Paul Maenz, 1967
30.5 x 21.5cm, 20pp self cover. Important conceptual art show curated by Maenz with contributions from Jan Dibbets, Barry Flanagan, Bernhard Hoke, John Johnson, Richard Long, Konrad Lueg, Charlotte Posenenske and Pater Roehr. Each artist is allocated 4pp to reproduce one work. Long's contribution is a "perimeter" piece where the outline of the gallery's internal walls were shadowed by a line of found sticks, his instructions are reproduced in facsimile. Long simultaneously did the same work in Bristol, UK. Dibbet's contribution is especially notable - the sawdust oval he created was his first "perspective correction" work. One of 500 numbered copies, this is uncut as issued. Some browning and spotting to tops of pages. Catalogue design by the gallerist Maenz. Scarce.
