40 x 30cm, 4pp. A very good copy of the deluxe edition of this single number of the legendary 291 periodical edited and published by Alfred Stieglitz and co. from 1915-1916 in New York. This copy was printed on "heaviest Japan Vellum"; a supremely high-quality paper. The issue contains two original monotone lithographs, one a full-page image by Walkowitz and the other a spectacular double-page by De Zayas with accompanying poetry by Agnes Ernst Meyer and Katherine Rhoades. The last page features a drawing by Edward Stiechen, a calligramme by J. B. Kerfoot, and a few columns of text by the editors. This copy is unfolded, and in exceptionally well-preserved condition. Very scarce.
