25 x 19cm, 178 pp in original wrappers with 92 b/w reproductions of works by Picasso and 7 b/w photographs of the artist and a single tipped in colour lithograph ("Clown") as a frontispiece. An eight page essay by Eluard followed by a cycle of 16 poems for Eluard's friend or inspired by the works. First edition. Very good with a slight lightening of the outer wrappers at the top and a slightly tired spine.
