CRICOT 2 EDINBURGH FESTIVAL 1972 (WATER HEN) PROGRAMME

£85.00

Edinburgh: Cricot 2, 1972
23 x 21cm, 4pp. Programme for the first English language performance of the Water Hen. Issued on the occasion of Kantor's production of the title theatrical manifestation at the Edinburgh Festival (1972) - a revival in Edinburgh after earlier performances in Poland, Rome and Nice in the 60s. Noteworthy is the uncredited Witkiewicz translation. His work had a profound philosophic (if not aesthetic) influence upon Kantor. Reproduces a translation into English of Borowki's "The Theatre of Tadeusz Kantor's 'Cricot-2'". the last 1/4 of this is folded presumably for storage.
Laid in (as issued):
('Cricot 2' Theatre)
Kantor, Tadeuz / Witkiewicz, Stansilaw Ignacy.
THE WATER HEN. A Drama in Three Acts. Produced by Tandeuz Kantor's 'Cricot 2' Theatre.
Edinburgh: Edinburgh Festival, 1972.
23 x 21cm. Single sheet printed on both recto and verso with text.  Formerly folded, else a very good+ example of this uncommon document.
