HOMMAGE A GEORGES RIBEMONT-DESSAIGNE POUR SES 80 ANS (1965)

Exhibition catalogue with the works being shown in homage to G R-B.  The participants included Arp, Albert-Birot, Duchamp, Ernst, Hausmann, Valentine Hugo, Janco, Man ray, Hans Richter, SIma, Calder, Dubuffet, Miro, Prevert, Tanning, Mathieu, Condom, Jarema, Moonens, Paprt, Breton, Hugnet, Iliazd, Limbour, Norge and Soupault as well as works from dead artist such as Brauer, Picabia, Schwitters and Villon. Works are listed and many reproduced small in b/w. The exhibition also had various documents from the life of Ribemont-Dessaignes which are listed. There is a specially written poem by Jacques Prevert for the birthday celebrations and a poem A mes amis by GR-B as well as texts by Breton, Limbour and Soupault as well as Norge and Iliazd. Laid in is a single sheet reproducing photographs from the early  life of GRD measured agains the construction of the Eiffel Tower by Jacques Prevert - who writes "En 1965 la Tour s'en tient a ses 300 metres alors que GRD continue de grandir en age et en sagesse". there is also a bibliography. A nice document. Minor binding issues (nothing to bother anyone) otherwise VG.
