15 x 20cm printed card folio with pasted-down b/w photographic image. Contents: 20 b/w unbound photographic plates + 2pp. text. First edition of this extremely early bookwork by the (then) Surrealist photographer. Composed of a documentary record of extraordinarily Aztec antiquities from the collection of Mexico's national museum. Peret's prologue is bi-lingual (Spanish/English) and evidences his aesthetic affinities with Mexico's ancient heritage. Some minor wear and tears to the inner folio black fold-ins, else a very good+ example. Very scarce.
