£275.00

Dusseldorf: Art Press Verlag, 1971
20.2 x 13.3cm, unpaginated (160pp approx) plus die-cut card covers. First edition of this exhibition catalogue which brought together avant garde galleries and artists in a display of the emerging international conceptual currents of art which in a show which cannot really have been surpassed since. Edited by Conrad Fischer, Jurgen Harten and Hans Strelow. Some participating galleries included the best known of those creating challenging art including Art & Project, l'Attico, Rene Block, Castelli, Fischer, Gibson, Lisson, Maenz, Studio Marconi, Schmela, Sonnabend, Sperone, Templon, Weber, Werner and, of course, the Wide White Space amongst others. These significant gallerists therefore showed works from a very wide range of (sometimes later) highly successful conceptual artists including Acconci, Ader, Baldessari, Barry, Bechers, Ben, Beuys, Boltanski, Broodthaers, Brouwn, Burgin, Darboven, Fulton, Gilbert & George, Graham, Lamelas, Levine, Merz, Morris, Nauman, Oppenheim, Richter, Rinke, Serra, Smithson, Sonnier, Tremlett, Vostell, Warhol, and Weiner - all of whom have herein a 2pp spread displaying their biographies and usually an image of a work reproduced in b/w almost full page. A very scarce (primary) conceptual document in very good condition with only slight rubbing to the black covers and minor wear at edges of the die-cut rectangle slot on the front.
