NEVER RELEASED - ONE OF ONLY TWENTY COPIES WITH SIGNED SILKSCREEN PRINT BY ALAN DAVIE

TONY OXLEY
Twickenham: Incubs Records, 1975
Standard 33rpm LP in  printed sleeve, paper liner and with inserted specially 25cm x 20cm printed silkscreen print in black and blue (same as the offset cover of record by Alan Davie) which was printed on thick paper and signed in pencil by the Artist. This was the special deluxe edition of this free-form jazz work created for David Bailey's Incubus Records (usually cited as one of the first if not the first of labels owned by musicians as Oxley and Evan Parker were also partners in the venture) and never released. Only c. 20 such LPs were made in this format (verified by Oxley). The choice of the well-known Scottish abstract painter Davie was apposite because of the latter's own dabblings as a jazz musician (at one point he was in a collaboration with Oxley in the Alan Davie Duo!) and also given Davie's works were often directly influenced by the ebb and flow apparent in musical improvisations. This is a clear rarity for both the music and the artwork and, to the best of our knowledge, has not before now been available for sale on the open market. Unplayed in mint cover and with mint silkscreen print.
