12.5 x 15cm, 1pp hand written note (blue ink on printed "Meillerus Voeux" white paper) from the openly gay French writer and critic and a major force (up until his death in 1979) in changing French attitudes towards homosexual fiction and culture. The note is friendly and makes a mild joke about the receipient being a sailor in relation to a presumed title of a written work relating to the sea, Fine.
