Ten individual numbers. Uniformly 22.5 x 17cm, pagination varies per. Illustrated thoughout with b/w drawings by many of the most important of the period modernists inlcuding Marc Chagall, George grosz, E. L. Kirchner, Ottomar Starke et al and many duotone photographs as reportage. Each number has their original stapled pictorial wrappers with cover designs including here, those by Leger (8;1), Frans Masereel, Erwin Damaske and Rudolf Grossman. The ten numbers here include textual and / or pictorial contributions from Jospeh Deitel, Arnold Zweig, Philippe Soupault, Karl and Josef Capek, Paul Valery, Maxim Gorky (Gorkij), Tristan Tzara, Richard Huelsenbeck Thomas Mann, Wyndham Lewis, Fernand Leger, E.I. Kirchner, Virginia Wolf, George Grosz, Hellaire Belloc amongst others. COndition varies greatly within this collection with all being browned and with edge and binding chips, wear, minor tears and rubbing. Nr 6:3 has the cover completelytorn off (which could be repaired as there is no paper loss); 6:11 has one illustration plate cut out, and the last two numbers offered here have additional piblicity flaps on the (by now full colour) covers which are somewhat worn as might be expected from the thus oversized wrappers. Two numebrs have previous owner's names in ink on the first page. All in all this collection is somewhat imperfect, however that said Der Querschnitt is a journal that is usually found in similar or worse condition and we have taken this into account when pricing this groups.

We would be willing to split this already broken group up - do enquire if interested.
