Uniformly, 16.5 x 12cm, 16pp and 22pp repectively plus original wrappers. A complete run of this short lived surrealist journal from Belgium which was founded under the considerable  influence  of Magritte and Raoul Ubac. The first number has contributions from Achille Chavee, Marcel Lecomte, Jean Scutenaire, Marcel Marien, Fernand Dumont and illustrations by Pol Bury, Paul Delvaux, Marcel-G. Lefrancq, Ren? Magritte, Armand Simon, Raoul Ubac and Louis van de Spiegele. The second number released only a few months after the first in April 1940 has an original (unsigned) dessin by Magritte on the cover and text contributions by Breton (a poem Carte Postale and a prose work), Paul Magritte, Marcel Marien, Magritte (Le Miroir Universal), Scutenaire,  Chavee, Ubac, Lecomte and illustrations by Magritte, Delvaux, Lefeancq, Pol Bury, Georges Marien, Ubac and van de Spiegele. Both very good condition with only minor flaws such as minor spotting on covers and edge wear. Scarce.
