£195.00

(Dada, Breton, Duchamp, Baroness von Freytag-Loringhoven)
THE LITTLE REVIEW - A QUARTERLY JOURNAL OF ART AND LETTERS. MISCELLANY NUMBER.
NYC/ London. The Little Review, Winter, 1922
24.5 x 19.5cm, 64pp. Wrappers. First edition of this single number of the important literary and art journal. Articles by Anderson and Apollonaire (an English translation of his appreciation of the cubists) as well as a portrait of Picabia by Andre Breton and two articles by the, frankly mad, Baroness von Freytag-Loringhoven including her portrait of Marcel Duchamp - a photograph of a sculpture made out of metal and feathers - as well as her poem "Affectionate". There is also a Jean Gris article, some portraits of the editors in b/w and a reproduction of photograph of Tatlin's Model for the Monument to the Third International as well as photographs of works by Picabia, Leger, Duchamp and others all hors text. An important single number - the wrappers here are browned and with minor edge damage and some marks around the spine. Internally all is very good although some pages are displaying minor foxing. Scarce.
