£600.00

SIGNED BY HALAS AND STYRSKY

Halas, Frantisek.
TISE.
Prague: Vanoce, 1932.
13.2 x 19.3 cm. 24 pp. Frontispiece, one full-page design in red and typographic layout by Jindrich Styrsky. Original pink wrappers. First edition of this poetic work by the Czech Surrealist. Halas was a contributor to Styrsky's Eroticka Revue in the early 30's, and his Thyrsos (1932) was issued as vol. 3 of Styrsky's private "Edice 69" series of erotic Surrealist collaborations. Here, Styrsky has contributed two drawings and an intriguing typographic layout. A very good+ example of this scarce work. This example is embellished with the signatures in ink on the first blank page of Halas and Styrsky.
JOINT: laid in 14 x 10cm, 4pp publisher's compliments slip. Printed letterpress and (seemingly) the typography is by Styrsky.
