MAIL ART UNIQUE TEXT LETTER JULY 1972

£145.00

(Zontal, Jorge) General Idea MAIL ART UNIQUE TEXT LETTER JULY 1972 8 X 24cm mailed envelope with stamped General Idea return address (the letter was sent to Bill Gaglione the well known mail artist) content of a single sheet of the "The 1984 Miss General Idea Pavilion Foundation" stationary with a unique letter/poem. Part of the text relates to publication by Gaglione (and presumably Anna Banana too) of General Idea in Vile but it soon becomes a word association letter written by Jorge Zontal - the letter is signed in faint blue highlighter pen ink "Jorge". Folded in a lazily opened letter. Image on request. Franked "Toronto LY 1972" - an important period in General Idea's activities when (for example) the first number of File magazine had been published only 2 months before.
