Louis Aragon

APRES DES TENTATIVES RITEREES

£325.00

Paris: Bureau des recherches, n.d. (1924)
7 x 10.5cm, 1pp. Black on light green. First edition of this street leaflet with the surrealist title text as written by Aragon and designed to entice possible recruits and interested people to the Bureau's address (which was printed on each leaflet). The Bureau was set up by the Surrealist group as a first attempt at propagandising their existence and public proof of their break with Tzara and the other remaining Dadaists. Very good example although there is one closed tear at the bottom that is very hard to see and the green paper is slightly faded at the edges. A rare piece of early post-Dada agit prop.
