First edition of this well known and somewhat dense essaic work by the fanatical Leon Bloy - a work that continued his obsession with proselytising on behalf of the Catholic church and against rationalism. This copy is one of ONLY five copies on Japon imperial - in fact this copy is numbered as "2" - and along with the lesser 25 copies on hollande those 30 copies together formed the total du tete for the publication. This copy is in fine if not very fine condition and is a rare find indeed.
