£195.00

Punk/RAR/ANL/The Clash
RARE ONE
Edinburgh: Edinburgh RAR, Summer 1978
42 x 36cm, tabloid newspaper which opens out to a single two-sided sheet (72 x 84cm). The single number of this regional RAR newspaper which here was dedicated to fund-raising to pay for the recent RAR Carnival in Edinburgh and also contains articles explaining why The Clash called off from the gig (basically due to the machinations and lies of their management), and an interview with the Valves (who did play) and over the internal double page spread nine large b/w photographs from the festival itself. Another section noted the various groups 'against the nazis' and has short texts including Gays, Women, TUs, School Kids and Civil Servants with images from the march to the carnival. Two folds for storage and some browning along one of those folds but over all this is VG+ and a very rare item indeed. From the collection of the designer of the newspaper David Rushton (also previously of Art & Language, the influential conceptual art collective).
