MISTAKES MISTAKES MISTAKES (ONE OF ONLY 9 COPIES)

23 x 16cm brown manilla envelope with attached printed label with instructions and title content of a deep blue unprinted envelope with white sticker. Inside the second envelope is a card from the Dia retrospective for Alighiero E Boetti (Worlds Envisioned) in 1995. The card is signed on the back by Jonathan Monk in pencil and numbered from the edition of ONLY 9 copies again in pencil. The Boetti card has on the front a full colour reproduction of one of Boetti's MAPPE tapestries and Monk has had a hole placed in it over the part representing Afghanistan (Boetti's much loved adopted country and the place of his burial plot) - Monk has supplied a solitary deep blue earring as well in a transparent plastic bag and the instructions on the outer envelope instruct the owner to display the work by pushing the earring throughout the invite card to attach the card directly to the wall. One of ONLY 9 such multiples to be released - this copy has never been displayed and is in mint condition. Rare.
