KAPITALI KO
USSR: Demyan, 1920
43.5 x 26.5mm lithograph in colours. The famous  revolutionary poster which shows a vast ermine clad Capital reposing upon the Western allies and their money-bags, along with defeated counter - revolutionaries and priests, speculators, kulaks, landlords, underground anarchists and others. Beneath the image on the poster is a twenty-five line, printed poem by Demyan Bedny ('Poor'; the pseudonym of Efim Alekseevich Pridvorov 1883-1945), which is signed by the poet in faded purple crayon next to his printed signature. This poster has been skillfully repaired in the past with some supporting paper at the rear and there are some surface scuffs where the paper has lifted away in some patches but this is not immediately noticeable, but otherwise is in near fine condition for such an incredibly scarce and famous item.
