PRAYER SHEET WITH THE WOUND AND THE NAIL (2010) FISH DRAWING

128 x 90cm, full colour offset exhibition poster for the extensive show displaying the most recent of Barney's "drawing restraint" works. Based on his background in American Football where he learnt that most improvement to skill or muscle was caused by resistance or forced impairment to the conditions under which a skill was learnt. As a result his drawing skills were regularly tested by placing himself in a tricky situation - here the drawing of a fish was created by placing a pencil in a deaf fish's mouth and utilising the slimy body as the newly installed body of the marking body. The image here shows both the accomplished drawing and the pencil-fish hybrid. Some edge creases top left but over all VG and this is a very large poster indeed.
