A. (Aleksej) Kruchenykh

FONETIKA TEATRA (Phonetics of the Theatre).

£750.00

Moscow: 41 Degrees, 1923
17 x 12.5cm, 42 pp + 6pp of book listings. Printed paper covers with designs by N. Nagorskaia and M. Plaksin referencing Bolshevic theatre. Contributions and excepts by various poets including Mayakovski are gathered herein by the futurist poet Kruchenykh with a stress on sound poetry and the book includes one full page lithograph and one vignette in the constructivist style which are uncredited. The utilised paper was very cheap and the printing (as may be expected) poorly done with one signature sheet printed high on the page and bound in without consideration thus making several pages unevenly distributed on the trimmed page although as far as we can tell no text is lost. Watermark over most of the internal pages on bottom right but otherwise very good if slightly browned. Rare. Price takes into account the printing flaw (which may or may not be common to the publication).
