Bedwyr Williams

FEAR KNOCKED AT THE DOOR. UNIQUE WORK 2007

104 x 67 x 8cm, wooden (varnished) wooden cabinet content of a printed dartboard (with the artist's face), two blackboards with handwritten texts in chalk, two sets of metal and plastic darts with plastic printed flights. Unique work created by Williams. On opening the cabinet one is faced with a trypicht - the texts stating (with an eye on Dylan Thomas) his angst ("Fear knocked on the door"), the artist's love of Wales ("I left my heart in the valleys") and a deliberate crassness ("I left my liver in Ryhl") indicating his inability to escape his working class habits and background. The darts too have deliberately over-the-top Welsh slogans on the flights. Wonderful.

Price and other images on request. Please note this is a heavy work and shipping would be higher than usual.
